The movie Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is released on today December 16th. The sound track is composed by famous composer Hans Zimmer. Zimmer's background is in pop music – he was a member of the Buggles, whose single “Video Killed the Radio Star” launched the music video era.
HANS ZIMMER: The challenge is, how do you not get bored? The only way around that one is to go, “Okay, let’s throw everything out that we had before and let’s just see it as an autonomous movie, and let’s just start again.” And then, down the road, once you’ve invented some new things, it’s a bit like having old friends come to visit. Don’t let them stay too long, but bring the old themes back in, here and there. But, what’s so great about this crew is that they know I’m going to go off and be reckless.
Good music composed for a film only helps to visually create a more dramatic and colorful feel in an auditory way but it's not super noticeable for the audience when they are watching the film. This video shows it how.
